The concert may end, but the resonance continues. We believe the greatest impact of music is found not only in the performance itself, but in how it inspires us to live, create, and connect with one another long after the final note is played.

A Note From Tyris Washington

Music has been the thread woven throughout my life.

From my early years playing in church to performing internationally across North America and Asia, I've had the privilege of sharing music with audiences from many different cultures and backgrounds. Along the way, I've also served as a music educator, worship leader, composer, and entrepreneur—helping hundreds of students discover the joy of making music while continuing to grow as an artist myself.

Over the years, I've learned that music is about much more than performance. It has the unique ability to inspire hope, awaken creativity, and bring people together in ways words often cannot.

The Resonance Society is the natural extension of that journey—a place where music continues beyond the stage and every experience is an invitation to connect, grow, and belong.

What Is The Resonance Society?

The Resonance Society is a membership community founded by international musician Tyris Washington, bringing people together through the shared experience of live music, creativity, inspiration, and meaningful connection.

We believe music should continue long after the final note is played. That's why The Resonance Society exists—to create a place where concerts become community and the inspiration continues throughout the year.

Every Resonance Night is a live musical journey where jazz, funk, and improvisation become a language of their own. Every performance tells a story without words through expressive musicianship, original arrangements, and spontaneous creativity that inspire the imagination, awaken creativity, and touch the heart. We believe music has the power to communicate what words often cannot—and that its impact should continue long after the final note is played.

Why I Created The Resonance Society

For most people, a concert ends with applause.

After performing for audiences around the world, I realized people weren't simply looking for great music. They were looking for something that would move them, inspire them, and remind them that music has the power to communicate what words often cannot.

That's why I created The Resonance Society.

It's a community built around the belief that the concert is only the beginning. Through music, creativity, and shared experiences, we continue the journey long after the final note is played.

My hope is simple: that every Resonance Night inspires your imagination, awakens your creativity, touches your heart, and reminds you that the greatest music doesn't end when the applause begins—it resonates in our lives long afterward.

The House That Rocks was founded on one simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of making music.

Since opening our doors, we've had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students—from young children discovering their first instrument to adults fulfilling lifelong dreams. Every lesson is about more than learning notes or chords; it's about building confidence, encouraging creativity, and helping each person discover their own unique voice.
